The Lakehouse

Perched just above the water in Acacia Bay, this house, blends sleek contemporary elements with stunning lake views.

Timelessness and a sense of place next to the water were key parts of the brief for this home away from home. The owners wanted a home that will still look great 100 years from now.

Designed by Fraser Cameron Architects, the home gracefully reveals itself upon entry, with the stunning landscape immediately visible against its dark-stained cedar batten exterior. The interiors attention to detail is captured by the way the various earthy materials blend together seamlessly.

Materials include cedar, Truewood, limestone, bluestone, marble and oak giving the home a firm sense of luxury.

The house features two living areas, fire places and window seats, an external but connected sunroom for evening sun, four private bedrooms away from the lake, three bathrooms, a large deck with steps and seating.
